The medical principles were created by the renowned Brazilian physician Dr. Mauricio de Maio, whose concept is based on natural hyaluronic acid and muscle-relaxing substances (Botox). An 8-point lift is suitable for both men and women from the age of 35. For younger people, a 4-point lift may also be sufficient.
The 8-point lift is first of all one thing: gentle! With age, various parts of the face become flabby and lose tone. An 8-point lift provides a lift (the English verb “to lift” means to lift) and simultaneously eliminates smaller and larger wrinkles. The basis for the functioning of this treatment is hyaluron, which is also produced by the human body and is significantly involved in the formation of connective tissue.
The name 8-point lifting is of course no coincidence. It refers to eight precisely defined points on the face that are considered key areas for a fresher appearance. A deposit of hyaluronic acid is injected at each of the positions, which is like a preventive measure against volume loss. If you like, an 8-point lift turns back time and returns the face to the state it was in before noticeable ageing began.
The eight points of the 8-point lift are carefully selected and all have their own individual characteristics. First of all, there are points 1 and 2 on the zygomatic arch and cheekbone. The latter is emphasised and at the same time the midface is lifted. One consequence is a weakening of the nasolabial fold. Point 3 concerns the midface itself and affects tired eyes, while point 4 directly addresses the nasolabial fold and reduces it. Points 5 and 6 refer to the wrinkles at the corners of the mouth, also known as the marionette line or the Merkel line, which are drawn upwards. In addition, sagging cheeks are eliminated by treating the front chin line. Lastly, with 8-point lifting, the jawline is also treated for a fresher looking neck as well as the cheekbones. It can be seen that the sum of the treated areas makes much more difference than the mere addition of the individual steps.
The 8-point lift in Berlin takes about an hour and is performed without anaesthesia. Unlike wrinkle injections, the face can be changed in a much more targeted way. Only hyaluron of excellent quality from the manufacturer Allergan is used. The effect lasts up to two years.
