Rhinoplasty is considered a “classic” among cosmetic surgery. Unfortunately, rhinoplasty, i.e. surgical correction, is often accompanied by surgical errors that are difficult or impossible to reverse. Accordingly, rhinoplasty without surgery, which is performed gently with hyaluronic acid, is now also in vogue.
In many cases, a nose correction involves extensive surgical procedures. Some surgeons recommend several weeks of rest after the operation, sometimes the nose is splinted with various tubes that are only removed after several days, and there are also numerous side effects. Not to mention the risk of a “botched operation”. By opting for a nose correction without surgery, minor corrections can be made both as an alternative to surgery and as a follow-up to surgery. The advantage is that the procedure is very gentle and takes just 15 minutes.
In nose correction without surgery, hyaluronic acid is injected. Regardless of whether a nose appears asymmetrical, humps have formed or sharp edges appear, something can always be done. Limitations are excessively large and wide noses or a nose tip with a very “knobby” appearance. In other words, nose correction without surgery can be performed on the hump, saddle nose, columella and tip of the nose.
When correcting the nose with hyaluronic filler, it depends very much on which area is worked on. One possibility, for example, is to lift the tip of the nose. In this case, the hyaluronic acid is injected at the meeting point of the nasal bridge and the so-called philtrum, which can also provide relief for a strongly curved nose. A hump or hook in the nose can also be removed or smoothed by a nose correction without surgery and those who suffer from a bridge of the nose that is too weak can also strengthen it with hyaluronic acid. The same procedure can also be used to make the wings of the nose narrower, whereby the midface is raised in this case. In other words, only the optical impression of a narrower nose is created, which is, however, quite convincing. Finally, the tip of the nose can also be beautified and when it comes to the size of the nostrils, botulinum toxin does a good job. Regardless of which area of the nose is being corrected, each treatment begins with a local anaesthetic and thorough disinfection. Then the filler or hyaluronic acid is injected exactly into the desired area. In most cases, the procedure should be repeated after about eight weeks, after which the intervals for repetition become longer, first six, then twelve months. There are almost no side effects and only in some cases there may be minor swelling or bruising.
